After reviewing 27 national monuments, Interior Secretary Zinke quietly submitted his recommendations to President Trump. But Zinke did not make the report public, saying he is not proposing to eliminate any monuments but is suggesting changing the boundaries of a “handful.”

According to unnamed sources, Zinke’s report calls for reducing the size of Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante, and Oregon’s Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument.
