Denver has never entered December without measurable snow. The Mile High City just broke the record for the latest date for a first snowfall, a record that has been held since snowfall records began in 1882.
Meanwhile, Hawaii is getting a blizzard.
The worst winter weather in the U.S. is in the tropics, with up to 12 inches of snow and 100 mph winds expected on the Big Island.
