Tension are rising on New Zealand rivers between wealthy tourists and Southlanders over competition for fishing spots.
Angling is a gentleman’s sport but its not uncommon to hear of punch-ups, bullying and bad behavior on the riverbanks, and there’s a lot of finger-pointing between locals and organized groups.
