How Climate Change Canceled the Grizzly Salmon Run

On an Alaskan island, one of nature’s greatest spectacles is shutting down due to a warming climate, as brown bears abandon fish in favor of a surprising alternative.

During warmer years, brown bears on Kodiak Island choose elderberries instead of salmon when the berry ripening season and salmon spawning season occur simultaneously.
