There’s 17 to 20 million cubic yards of sediment behind the Klamath dams

Researchers, tribes, and residents are preparing for a century of sediment released from behind the Klamath dams.

In the coming weeks, water will be released from behind the three remaining dams on the Klamath River, and that century’s worth of sediment piled up behind the dams will flow downriver.
