Oregon LNG cancels plan for Warrenton terminal

The company behind a proposed liquefied natural gas export terminal at the mouth of the Columbia River has abandoned the project, scoring a major victory for the conservation organizations fighting to protect Columbia River wild steelhead and salmon. This is the second big win for Oregon’s anti-LNG community as this news comes just weeks after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission rejected plans for a massive LNG terminal in Coos Bay, effectively killing the project.
