Logging Project In Critical Habitat for Snake River Steelhead Put On Hold

A federal judge stopped a large timber sale in the Lolo Creek drainage of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest, saying federal officials failed to consider the latest information on steelhead abundance.

The judge ruled the Forest Service and National Marine Fisheries Service used outdated steelhead numbers when they approved the Lolo Creek drainage project
