Idaho’s Parachuting Beavers

In the late 1940s, Idaho Fish and Game staff used leftover World War II parachutes and specially-designed boxes to drop nuisance beavers from the McCall area into Idaho’s backcountry. Geronimo was the first beaver to make the trip, and 75 others followed, making this story one of wildlife management’s most interesting tales.
