According to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s 2018 State of the Bay report, Chesapeake Bay suffered a massive assault in 2018. Extraordinary weather flushed enormous amounts of nitrogen, phosphorous, and debris into the waters of the Bay. As a result for the first time in a decade, the rating of the bay’s health declined.
