Ambler Road and Copper Mine Threaten Stability of Alaska Ecosystem

A road project through the Alaskan tundra could open the Brooks Range to mining and harm wildlife and Native lifeways. Mining companies have been eyeing the yet-untapped mineral deposits in the western Brooks Range since they were identified during exploration efforts in the 1950s.
