Administration Takes Major Steps to Protect Arctic Lands and Wildlife in Alaska

The Biden-Harris administration has announced significant steps to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and more than 13 million acres in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska. These actions to protect the Arctic region build on President Biden’s conservation and climate agenda, which already includes protecting more than 21 million acres of public lands and waters across the nation.
