A Major Victory For Klamath Salmon

The Yurok Tribe and their allies have gotten a federal court order restoring threatened cuts to Klamath River water flows. A federal district court reconfirmed that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation must comply with the federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) in operating the Klamath Irrigation Project. The Department of Interior had announced plans to cut Klamath River flows up to 30% below the minimum mandated by the ESA.
