Yesterday the Department of the Interior announced that U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has opened new or expanded hunting and sport fishing opportunities across 2.1 million acres, the largest expansion of outdoor recreation opportunities in recent history.
The increased recreational access, which covers 88 National Wildlife Refuges and one National Fish Hatchery, is consistent with the Biden-Harris administration’s America the Beautiful initiative, a locally-led and voluntary, nationwide effort to conserve, connect, and restore 30 percent of lands and waters by 2030.

As long as it funds conservation, I’m okay with it. Hopefully we going to see increase in funds after it launches. One of the folks I usually buy stuff from told me that over last decade hunter numbers were declining steadily, so not sure if this expansion even needed. But then again, he also told me that sales on hunting gear been climbing at the same time(lotsa folks order online those days I guess, myself I never found it that appealing, especially when it comes to clothes.
