Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

Pebble Mine Bristol Bay

A bad for the environment with more to come.

It’s only day four of the new Trump administration and the President’s assault on the environment is well underway.

Both the Keystone XL and Gateway pipelines were approved today by executive order.

Sources are saying the administration has instructed the Environmental Protection Agency to remove the climate change page from its website.

The new administration has also asked the EPA to freeze all grants, contracts and external communication.

And last but not least, the inauguration of Donald Trump has given new life to the Pebble Mine Project in Bristol Bay.

Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. expects to resolve a dispute with the U.S. environmental regulator by April to enable it to move ahead with permitting one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper and gold deposits.

U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration has “a desire to permit Pebble,” the company’s project in Alaska, Northern Dynasty Chief Executive Officer Ronald Thiessen said Monday in Vancouver. “We will come to a resolution within 100 days” with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, he said.

  1. Stop Press – Pink Floyd unexpectedly re-release the video of its blockbuster track, The Wall. Marching black-and-red hammers by cartoonist Gerald Scarfe and all. Already at No. 1 over here in Britain rumour has it. Did the band know something back in November 1979 that we didn’t, I wonder…?
