Tester Champion for Montana Anglers

Dan Vermillion, owner of Sweetwater Travel and the chair of the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission, weighs in on Congress’s recent repeal of the Stream Protection Rule and Senator Tester’s vote to protect the rule. As Dan says, “he clearly understands the importance of preserving our world-class fisheries.”

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Montana’s other Senator Steve Daines, who voted to abolish the Stream Protection Rule. Not surprisingly, the outdoor industry folks in Montana were not too happy about that and Dan says it was “a move which many men and women whose livelihoods depend on our outdoor recreation industry and agricultural industry feel warrants an explanation.”

Daines is a fisherman, a hunter so you would think he understands the value of clean water. Apparently, that is not the case though…
