LOON LIVE: DRAKE AND JIG

fly tying

Winter is typically a great time to tie flies, but this winter (specifically the last couple of weeks) has been especially great for fly tying.  In other words, fishing isn’t really an option as the rivers on the west coast are either frozen or pumping chocolate milk.

This week Matt will be providing some new inspiration by offering some modifications to a couple different patterns.  The Jig Bird is a modernized Bird’s Nest (on a jig hook of course) and the Awe Shucks is a Green Drake emerger that will have you dreaming about spring.

So busy tying tonight.
