The Canadian federal government has approved a $36 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) project just south of Prince Rupert, British Columbia that, if built, will add thousands of construction jobs, will be one of the largest GHG emitters in Canada, and will very likely cause mass protests and social unrest on Canada’s west coast.
