  1. “conservative thinktank” – something of an oxymoron, I have always thought. Certainly something where thinking almost always tanks.

    Here in Britain a few years ago a Government influenced by such looks great on paper and to others just like us, freemarketeering and buccaneering ideologues decided that the time was right to sell off the country’s state-owned forests and woodlands. The British public felt differently, however, and made a very great noise about the proposed sale. The politicians and their already lined-up woodland-purchaser pals very quickly backed off. They’ll be back though, as such types abhor “economic vacuums”, where numbers of people have something that they solely do not.

    Watch them.
