Dam-managing agencies won’t do the right thing for Snake River dams

If you’ve seen Damnation then you may remember Jim Waddell, the former Army Corps deputy district engineer at the Walla Walla District, which operates the four dams on the Lower Snake River in Eastern Washington. During his 35 years with the Army Corps, Jim was responsible for overseeing the environmental review of the Snake River dams.

Through that experience and his 35 years with the Corps, it has become clear to Jim that “anyone who believes our dam-managing agencies can do the right thing when it comes to salmon recovery is kidding themselves.”
