The prevailing sentiment was relief when the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s Atlantic Striped Bass Management Board voted to adopt emergency measures at last week’s meeting, requiring all states to cap the recreational size limit at 31 inches. Some people, most but not all from New Jersey, complained the rule was adopted without adequate notice.
