Testimony of Dick Russell

When commercial overfishing sent striped bass populations into free fall in the 1980s, author and environmental journalist Dick Russell emerged as a key spokesman in a crusade by dedicated fishermen to save them.  In 2010 he testified in front of the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture on H796, an Act relative to the conservation of Atlantic striped bass

Nine years later his words still ring true and another coalition of dedicated fisherman are raising their voices to protect striped bass.
