I continue NOT to Get The Gear. Nor watch or read about the “Impressive, huh?” (Not!, as it turns out) activities of Serial Public Attention- / Adulation- / Sponsorship-Seekers. Such Winkler-Fonzie fishy stuff jumped the cinematic and sporting shark decades ago for those who’d actually just quietly gone out and done a bit of fishing. Best not to pity such sorts though, definitely not feel incredibly superior to such Dedicated Followers of Fashion (great old 1960s song by the British band, The Kinks), however easy this might be … No … maybe just think “Hmm…” … Or even get into the Lotus Position and have a nice long “Ommmmm….”.
