Sea lion removal underway on Willamette River

Sea lion removal is underway on the Willamette River in Oregon City to protect endangered fish.

Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife received permission last month from the National Marine Fisheries Service after years of research followed by a period of public input.

The permit, granted last month, allows the state agency to trap and kill up to 93 California sea lions a year for up to five years.
