Alex Foster caught and released what could be an International Game Fish Association world record for a striped bass he caught and released off Cape Charles. The fish weighed in at 58 pounds and measured 48.03 inches long, five centimeters longer than the current record but well shy of the world record for the weight of a striped bass which is 81 pounds.
