Well the Steelhead fishing in Western Washington has had it's ups and downs this year. Returns on the peninsula has been so bad that a lot of the rivers were closed early. Coastal rivers like the Ho, Queets, and Boggie are about your only shot at catching fish. Even then you are at the mercy of the weather. Warmer temps and rain have moved in, so the rivers aren't dropping back down to fishable levels. My suggestion! Watch the weather. We need a good two week dry spell to start heating things up again. Also! Don't listen to the guides without a grain or two of salt. I know of two guides blogging about how they are still catching fish. The only problem is I know they haven't been on the water.
Good luck!
