World Varsities Trout Fly Fishing Competition this inaugural competition will be held on Lough Corrib, Ireland on the 28th and 29th of August 2010. The committee are in the process of contacting colleges/universities and alumni with regard to entering a team in this competition to represent their college past or present!
A team consists of 2 anglers comprising of a member of staff, a current student or an alumni. The competition will be ‘catch and release’ with points awarded for trout length. All fly-fishing techniques are permissible including wet fly, dry fly and dapping.
This is a non-profit making event and a non-commercial venture. Any surplus monies will be used to build the event in years to come.
