More “hoot owl” fishing restrictions come to Western Montana

State wildlife officials have instituted “hoot owl” fishing restrictions on a section of the Blackfoot River and some of its tributaries.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has announced that no fishing will be allowed between 2 p.m. and midnight on Morrell, Gold, Belmont, Cottonwood, Copper, and Monture creeks as well as the North Fork of the Blackfoot River below North Fork Falls and Landers Fork.
