Friends of the River and California Trout are hosting a special Bay Area showing of the The River Why. Sponsored by Leland Fly Fishing Outfitters and Patagonia, proceeds from the event benefit California's wild flowing rivers and the native trout, salmon and steelhead they support.

Film producer Miranda Bailey decides to follow the process and learn more about why that is necessary, how much it costs and what going "green" means as an environmental consultant, is brought on to the film. Both entertaining and humorous, the film is filled with compelling and important facts about film making and sustainability and shows that Kermit was right- it ain't easy bein' green.

The 2010 Dallas Film Festival has just announced twelve new films to be screened at this year's festival which kicks off on April 8th. Of those twelve films three are world premiers including The River Why, the much talked about adaptation of the David James Duncan novel.

Just thought you'd all like to know we're also doing a special "work-in-progress/thank you Oregon" screening at the Ashland Film Festival: April 9 at noon and April 10 at 6 pm.
In June, we're planning a special benefit screening for Friends of the River and California Trout at the Lucasfilm Theater in the Presidio in San Francisco.

The Book It Repertory Theater in Seattle is putting on David James Duncan's The River Why. Opening night is February 12th at the Center House Theater in Seattle Center.
