    Benefit Auction

Mikey Wier won the Truckee River One-Fly Tournament tournament and donated the grand prize back to the UNR student chapter of The Wildlife Society in an effort to help raise more funds for future events.

    From Mikey:

I fished the one fly tournament this weekend on the truckee.  It was a great event put on at the Nature Conservancy land by the UNR wildlife society club.  I almost went with the nymph, but decided to go big and fish a streamer at the last minute. The water was a bit mudded up and high from that last storm. I had never fished that water and it was a bit tough, but I ended up getting a couple nice fish.  It was good enough for first and I decided to donate the prize to the club because they did a great job putting on the event.  I just got this e-mail that they are going to auction it off to raise some money for their club.  It's a great group of kids.  Please pass this on to anyone you think might need a new orvis 5 wt and matching reel.

    Thanks,
    Mikey

This is a blind auction so e-mail your bid to flyfishtruckee@yahoo.com, deadline for bids is November 4th.
