We invite you to join us this Spring on Baja’s East Cape for some of the most exciting fishing Mexico has to offer with Justin Crump (Moldy Chum's 2007 slab of the year winner and featured star of Angling Exporation Group's Fish Bum Diaries) and The Reel Baja group. We will be staying in a comfortable beach house near the safe and friendly village of Los Barriles and enjoying 4 days of guided fishing and 5 nights of lodging. This is not the typical hotel/guide combo. The front step of your Mexican beach house is the epicenter of world-class saltwater fly fishing.
We'll attack Baja in a few ways:
In-Shore Hunt (two days): Two days will be spent in panga boats targeting numerous in-shore species, such as Rooster Fish, Jack Crevelle, Bonita, Lady Fish, Sierra and host of others. If conditions permit, there is an opportunity to go off shore to chase Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado and Tuna. We will start at 7am with a boat pickup in front of our place and will fish until mid-afternoon. Each panga boat will have a Mexican captain, Reel Baja guide and 2 anglers. Fishing techniques primarily revolve around bait-and-switch maneuvers followed with precise casting and timing.
Beach Patrol (two days): One day will be spent hiking the beaches primarily in search of GRANDE Rooster Fish and Jack Crevelle. This type of fishing is extremely challenging and rewarding with a fly rod. Fish in the 30 to 50 pound range are a reality. This is what we, as fly junkies, have dreamt about our entire lives.
Afternoon/Evenings in front of the beach house (every day): After our panga and beach day trips, afternoons and evenings present an amazing fishery for small to medium sized roosterfish right in front of the beach house. We will have 6 and 7 weights set up with shooting heads for you to use at your leisure to see what is out there after your guided day.

Special Chum Price: $1900 per angler (based upon double occupancy) with a maximum of 8 anglers at the beach house. Additional days can be arranged.
