3M and Montrose strike deal to keep Ross Reels in town next five years

As part of the agreement, the city will provide 3M — Ross Reels’ parent company — $20,000 annually over the next two years, while the county will provide $25,000 for one year. Those $45,000 and $20,000 sums will be used to market Ross Reels’ products and Montrose across the country.

Montrose has a big wildfire going on right now. Hope it doesn't hit their operation (or anyone else).

ross used to be the only reels i used for years.....started about 12 miles from where i type, and were the best for a long time....but in the last 7 years or so their reels became flashier, but weaker....plastic drag pins, soft frames.......and then the big sell out.....im a galvan fan now....still a family thing ya know the way it shoulda stayed
