It really does look cool, but the overloading on the rod, as well as the different turnovers are causing one heck of a nasty tailing loop. The only aesthetic blight to the video.

Looks to me like the tailer is being caused by a timing/power issue. Waiting too long to turn it around and not giving it enough gas. Which is totally understandable, he's got two rods in one hand!
How much driving around did you do to find that background? It's perfect!
