Why most permit guides are missing a finger or 2. Hopefully everyone will get the message and stop fishing for them.

In the early '90's a school of permit repeatedly attacked swimmers at Matheson Hammock lagoon in Miami. The Miami Herald did a story on it.

After reading the story, I went snorkeling in the lagoon but the permit were gone.

"huge 5 pound fish." Now that is funny. Mouths that could take off a pinky. I want to vacation with this couple. They seem to be snorkeling experts.
