We won't be reading about dudes killing fish so they can get their name on a plaque somewhere in the IGFA hall of fame.
Veteran fly-fisherman Tom Evans of Wilson, Wyo., caught a potential 12-pound tippet world record tarpon of 194.1 pounds on May 10.
Evans carries an official scale on every trip for record pursuits.

.... what kind of asshole takes pictures of fish let alone kills one to have their picture taken with a dead one. Taking pictures of a fish you've caught is the perfect sign sign of an amateur. Why don't you act like you've been there before and nobodies impressed that you actually caught one.

Maybe the IGFA need to stop recognizing records like these if the fish is not released. IGFA are essentially encouraging certain anglers to kill fish. Shame on IGFA
