Kagan and Carp

As President Barack Obama’s Solicitor General, Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan argued against closing the Chicago locks to prevent Asian carp from entering Lake Michigan.

Amazed by the bi-partisanism Republicans on the Chum. I bet you hate mongering, fear spreading, racial profilling, Palin supporting Repubs not only ski in jeans, but fish in them too...hip boots and all.
As SG, she is obligated to argue the point put forth by the president to the supreme court. Personal opinion isn't important, just the legal arguement.
We don't know much about her, though. Hard to say which way she would break when given the opportunity to decide.
That said, I think Mr. O is gonna have to rally on some of this: carp in the GL, Snake/Columbia salmon, and suddenly that off-shore drilling doesn't look so great (at least in the current mode of gutted safety regs.)
