    River on the Rebound

    From Way Upstream -

This Androscoggin River segment is from the film ExNE, produced by Gray Ghost Productions LLC. It's an 8 minute piece which chronicles a river born pure that gets infected by industrialization and then is nurtured back to a healthy set of vital signs.

Awesome to see this on MC! For you East Coast guys, there are few sections of eastern river that that are as scenic as the Upper Andro. It is essentially one big gravel bar/riffle broken up by pools and islands with braided channels going everywhere that rolls through the mountains of NH/ME... Rainbows, browns, and brookies... in other words it is classic fly water. One of the great success stories of the East that, unfortunately, has to many rivers that were used up and abused for far to long.

Thanks MC, I'm from MA and I've fished the Rangely and and upper Andro for a long time. Out East we have a long way to go in terms of habitat recovery but little by little we are getting there. The upper Andro and Rangely Lakes region are not to be missed for any fishing trip in Maine

I agree. What a great piece!

I am from Portland Maine. I have fished the Andro and have seen first hand how fun it is to hook a great variety of species.

I think the guys from Grey Ghost should keep doing the great job of showcasing eastern fishing!

    Bravo guys!
