Dec Slab of the Month Entry: Persian Gulf Milkfish

Representing the Middle East, Chum lover AJ Pretorius stroked this Milkfish off the Southern Island of Oman in the Persian Gulf.  More proof that there's more to life than the upstream, dryfly presentation.

Just awesome....love the salty entries! Well done on your milkie, do these feed on algae like those in the Seychelles? Fantastic, you have my vote!

We went fishing of a group of islands called Khuriya Muriya, about 45nm from Southern Oman.
We went to explore the area for potetial future ventures, but a host of problems Including Pirates from Somalia make this impossible at the moment; sadly.

The fly is a design but Arno Mathee called The Milky dream and was tied by my frien Armand Flies. Yes the fish where feeding on algea like in Sey. This was one of 3 similiar size fish caught from one boat in 2 hours fishing.

    Winner.
