    this is a good article ,hell it was thought that wet flys were wrong back in the day ,there is nothing wrong with nymphing for steelhead . why we jump down each other so much is beyound me . there is a traditon to swinging a fly and if you choose to do it so be it we need to stop looking down at one another though this is what creates divides ,and causes us to not focus on the more important issues

    Both have their time, both have their place. I'll admit, I do get a kick out of the some of the North Shore guys that have recently begun to carry 14' speys, though. A 10' switch is all you need for 99% of the streams we fish in the Great Lakes.
