I have heard a lot from friends and relatives about Albright tackle, but still can't get over the incredibly low prices. Any one know anyhting about where they are made, and if they are really good?
    thanks,
    Joey

Yeah, I wondered the same thing, I actually bought a couple 5 wt GP reels from them and they are actually really good and fished with it all last spring/summer/fall. The only thing is that they are not as shiny/metallic as their pictures show. I haven't bought a rod from them though. I noticed this is the second year in a row that in January they blow out all their equipment.

They are made in Korea as far as I know. I have GP 8/9 wt for steel/salmon/pike/bass. Little use so far but it seems like a nice rod. Can't beat the price. I also have a pair of albright waders. Basic stuff but they fit well and keep me dry.

Broke my Albright GP 8/9 wt on a 17 inch cuttie. I used the rod for throwing streamers, but not anymore...
