from William Yardley of the NY Times, Feb. 10/2010
A Federal Judge told the Obama Administration on Wed. that it's plan to help Endangered Salmon in the Pacific Northwest was "technically flawed", and he urged it to revise the proposal before he rules on it's broader merits. Judge James Redden of the US District Court in Portland Or said the plan (an effort to modify, but not replace, one from the Bush Admin.) was "procedurally improper". He gave the Obama Admin. until next week to decide whether to modify the plan, and urged it to "do more" to protect Endangered Salmon.
This is a very good thing. I am happy that the Judge has not let slack in the reigns!... 8-)
