This special issue of The Current, brings you highlights of the CalTrout and UC Davis Center for Watershed Sciences report SOS II: Fish in Hot Water. While the findings of the report are sobering – 45% of California’s native salmon, steelhead, and trout will be extinct in 50 years if present trends continue – the report offers a path forward, a plan to return our native fish to resilience.
