Two terrible public lands bills advanced out of the House Natural Resource Committee and one sportsmans group  continues to not hold those resposible accountable.

Reading the press release from Backcountry Hunters and Anglers that appeared today in Angling Trade you would never know these two bills are strictly a Republican effort.

Let’s be clear, the crusade against public lands is not a bipartisan effort, it is being driven by the Republicans. Just ask Representative Raul Grijalva, a Democrat who also serves on the Natural Resource Committee.

While we’re at it let’s call out the the American Sportfishing Association who operate the ICast fishing trade show and where IFTD also sets up their show.  ASA is a platinum sponsor of the Center for Coastal Conservation who just gave their Conservationist of the Year award  to Republican Rep. Rob Bishop of Utah. Bishop is the Chairman of the House Natural Resource Committee and the leading advocate for transfering the management of public lands over to the states.
