The Trump administration has rubber-stamped the Rosemont Ranch mine, an open-pit Copper-Silver-Molybdenum mine in the Santa Rita Mountains of Arizona, about 30 miles southeast of Tucson in the Coronado National Forest. The industry-friendly ruling contradicts years of concerns over potential damage to endangered species, water systems, and Native American cultural sites.
